Deloitte Consulting (France) were implementing a system to help Renault France's showroom staff sell cars.

The system was a web-based intranet application which would calculate the price payable for any car in the range with a fully customised range of options.

Unfortunately, the system was taking 35 seconds to perform the calculation. All parties felt that this was far too long.

DataSurge were called to Renault's Paris plant as independent experts to ascertain where in the multi-tiered application the problem arose, and which party was responsible for fixing it.
